Inexpensive Cat Toys

Money Is Low
Money is low but we still want ways to entertain our little bundles of joys, our company at times and even our best friends. We don't want them to be getting bored and then become destructive. But what can we do when we simply cannot afford to go out an buy cat toys left and right? You may be surprised but cats are actually pretty simple to please. There are plenty of things you can do to entertain them. Little cheap toys you can make or things you can use that they'd think are toys.
Paper Bags
Cats like bags, this is no secret. My little kitten likes plastic bags however this can be dangerous so in order to keep your friend safe you can replace the plastic bags with paper bags. They'll like it just the same. If you have a small paper bag or any kind of paper bag you might get from the store then keep it. Cheap, simple and it'll keep your cat playing for quite some time. Place it on the floor and watch the little tyke go at it.
Old Shoe String
Cats like to play with your shoe strings so whenever you go to replace your shoes why not keep your shoe strings for your cat to play with? Now you'll want to watch your cat as he or she plays with the shoe string that way they don't get hurt or end up wrapping it around their neck. Put it up each time they're done playing. Still it's a cheap toy and simple. Money that you've already spent and you won't have to spend again.
Old Cloths
Obviously you don't give the cat your entire pair of jeans or entire shirt. Cut pieces out of it and tie them together, basically making a big ball of cloth. Cats like to play with balls or any kind of fluff laying around. This can act like a fake mouse except it's not and once again this is money you've already spent. Just cut out several pieces tie them together and throw the thing down and watch your cat play with it.
If you know how to sew and you already have some cat nip on you then you can also use a couple of pieces of your old cloths and sew them together. Placing cat nip into the pieces, basically creating a cat nip pillow.
Ink Pens
Yes, that's right. I don't know about your cat but mine likes to play with ink pens. She'll knock them down off from our coffee table and start batting it around. It's an adorable sight. You can even join in with the fun and play with her/him like you would a dog. Bat her/him softly with the pen in a playful manner. It's a fun time and it's a cheap way for your cat to have a fun time. Make sure it's a pen that has a cap. That way it doesn't leak or poke the cat while he or she plays.
Boxes
Oh yeah, no matter what the size cats like boxes. It can be a cereal box or a pop can box they'll play with it. My own little bundle of joy likes her pop can boxes. In fact she'll purposely remove the cans from the box that way she can get into it.
It doesn't need to be a large moving size box. As I said a simple pop can box would work. However if you do happen to get a large box keep it around for a couple days for he/she can play with it. It'll spice up here play life.
Empty Pill Bottle
If you have an empty bill bottle keep it around and then fill it up with something that would make the similar sounds that the pills would. Now not all cats like this toy but there are a few who like to bat this around. Especially kittens. Just fill up an empty pill bottle with anything that would make a sound. Perhaps coins for example and then show it to your cat and see how he/she responds. They may not like it but then again they might and it'd be another cheap toy for them.
Conclusion
I am always looking for new ways to my cat to enjoy herself. New toys. Things that I already have around the house and wouldn't have to buy again. It saves money and it's actually pretty entertaining for the both of us. She likes it and I enjoy watching her. See, as I said cats are pretty easy to please.
