Cerridwen Of Celtic Lore- A Poem
67
Cerridwen of Celtic Lore
Silver light of the moon,
Goddess that I seek
I reach my arms out to you
When things are cold and bleak.
Crone Goddess so wise
Give me inspiration to carry on
So that I may rise
Through this night into the dawn.
Cerridwen of Celtic lore
Help me to be reborn into a new light
So that I may soar
Through the darkness like the moon so bright.
Inspire, rejuvenate and transform me
Into all that I can be
Just to make it through this life
Oh Goddess of the Moon So bright.
Cerridwen you are both mother and crone
You know of my worries, of my pain
Aid me with the wisdom of the unknown
Transform me by every grain
So that come tomorrow
I may give my thanks to the Goddess of the Moon
Again for aiding in my sorrow
Bringing forth a light into my life
Like you offer the night.
Note
For those who are not familiar with my beliefs I am considered a Christo-Pagan. I connect to Sophia and the Christian God as well as Yeshua the most. However like any other Pagan I do like to work with other Gods and Goddesses from time to time and Cerridwen is one of them. She is one that actually was the first one I ever came to when I fell upon the Pagan path, when I was purely Pagan.
This poem is to the Celtic Goddess Cerridwen who is of the Welsh origin. Some look at her as just being a Crone Goddess while some look at her as a Mother/Crone Goddess. In either case she is connected to the moon, mostly to the full moon.
